I’m Dr. Crystal Keahey and Serviam Veritas is my consulting practice.
I work with leaders when something isn’t working, the obvious answer isn’t good enough, or the real problem is hiding somewhere between what people say is happening and what’s actually going on.
If you bring me into your organization, you get me. I ask questions, dig into the details, follow the evidence, and tell you what I see, including when the answer is inconvenient. I stay close to the work where judgement, analysis, and difficult decisions matter most.

Organizations tend to divide work into functions. Problems are less cooperative. A people problem may actually be an operations problem. A process failure may have more to do with leadership than process. And sometimes it’s all connected, plus a spreadsheet that nobody trusts.
I’ve spent my career looking at organizations from more than one seat at the table: operations, executive leadership, human resources, risk, and research. That range matters because understanding what is happening is only useful if we can also figure out why it’s happening and what can actually change it.

Operations have a way of revealing what an organization really believes. I look at process, risk, restructuring, compliance, and change with an eye towards what will actually work once the meeting is over.
RESEARCH & ANALYTICS
Data is useful when it helps us see something we couldn’t see before. I use quantitative research, diagnostics, benchmarking, and trend analysis to test assumptions, find patterns, and make better decisions with the evidence we have.

I’ve spent enough time in operations, HR, risk, organizational change, and executive leadership to know that the clean answer on paper doesn’t always survive contact with the actual organization.
Experience changes what you notice. I’ve learned to look for the thing underneath the thing: the constraint nobody mentioned, the assumption everyone accepted, or the perfectly reasonable decision that falls apart when it meets the people expected to carry it out.
Research taught me to put another discipline around that instinct: test the assumption. Follow the evidence. Be willing to discover that the answer isn’t always the one you expected.

My work is grounded in two things I value equally: what holds up in practice and what holds up under scrutiny.
I have the credentials. I just don’t think they’re the most interesting thing about the work. A PhD, MBA, and SPHR matter only when they sharpen the questions, challenge assumptions, and help separate what the evidence shows from what everyone expected it to show.
Practice taught me something research can’t: the technically correct answer isn’t always the workable one. Good advice has to survive contact with the organization.
